Chacalate Guest Comments
- "The villa is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The food we had was excellent. Gustavo was a great driver, very informative and recommended some nice restaurants. Your levels of customer service and commuication are far superior to that of your competition. " by RG
- "We had a wonderful vacation spending time with our family. The house was wonderful." by Jose L., Mexico City, MX
- "Our stay at Casa Chacalate was superb! The setting is perfectly gorgeous, the beach is great, the house is beyond luxurious and the location is secluded enough to allow my family to enjoy its week together. About the staff: Everyone is incredibly talented and thoughtful. We never lacked for attention or well prepared food and drinks. The food prepared by Max and Tina was delicious. Krysha, Laura and Tino kept us happy and comfortable around the clock. Any arrangements we needed for massages, fishing and whale watching were handled seamlessly by Laurie, standing in for Amelia. In sum it was the getaway my family had hoped for. We loved the villa and expect to return as often as we can. The staff are wonderful and made every effort to make us happy." by Drew M., CA
- "Casa Chacalate could not have been much better for a family group of our make-up and size. The house is beautiful. One of our group said: “This is the nicest house I have ever been in.” The beach access (just the right distance above the beach to make it seem like the lower terrace to your vast estate), the back yard and pool area, etc. were magnificent. We sat in the palapa and watched whales breaching and dancing daily. The fire pit just above the beach was really enjoyed every night. Max the Chef was really very good. Both portion size and menu choice were great… Some of the meals were works of art. Tina was also very good. Her Mexican cuisine breakfasts and lunches were really great. The Tomatillo salsa was amazing. Tony the bartender/house valet is perfect for this job. His English is good. He is attentive and friendly – without being in your way. He has an excellent way with people, and a good sense of humor. All in all, this is a great, solicitous, helpful staff. This was a very fine trip at a very fine facility, with unparalleled access to a terrific beach. This villa warrants a return engagement. " by Jeff D., San Francisco, CA
- "10 on a scale of 1 to 10! Food and preparation was perfect. Emilia was available to accommodate our every whim. She was first class - listened to all our requests. The staff was so kind! " by Linnea G., CA
- "Thanks, Helga, for putting us in Casa Chacalate. What a wonderful vacation we had from start to finish. We are seasoned world travelers and have never had a better experience anywhere. The arrangements you made for transport to and from the airport couldn't have been better. Gustavo was a wonderful driver and gave us a "guided tour" as we went along. The Villa is absolutely beautiful - even your great photos on the website do not do it justice. We were totally pampered by the staff. Emelia was there to greet us and returned daily to make certain our needs were all being met, as well as make any arrangements we might desire for fishing, diving, etc. Max is just the best chef ever! The meals he prepared were true gourmet. We simply gave him ideas of what we liked and he came up with creations that were beyond description. Our server/bartender Krysha never missed a beat, our glasses were 2/3's down and she was right there to refill them. She kept us in "adult beverages", soft drinks, and purified water without ever having to ask. Both she and Max are English speakers and were a fount of information on things to do and see in the area. Tina, the cook's helper, prepared fabulous breakfasts and kept us smiling with her antics. Her husband Tino, maintained the property to perfection. Laura kept the Villa immaculately clean. In short we didn't want for a thing. The walk to town is an easy 12-15 minutes and we went several times. The people there are so friendly and welcoming; we never once felt any concern for our safety - So much so that we have booked our entire family back in June. It is an ideal location for all ages and we "do" as little or as much as we please. " by John S., Huntington Beach, CA
- "Everything was excellent. We had a FANTASTIC time. Thank you for everything! Can't wait to come back!!" by JK, NY, NY
- "The villa was awesome! Outdid all our expectations. The crew were great and everyone had a fantastic time, thank you very much for that. I hope to use this villa again in the near future (maybe an anniversary or so), I for sure will pass on your details to anyone I know that is looking for an awesome villa in Mexico." by Kieran, UK
- "Casa Chacalate lived up to the Casa Helga standard. The chef's cooking was excellent. The villa was lovely, and the staff, especially Beto, was great." by Lance, CA
