Built in the old Vallarta style with local hardwoods, adobe bricks, handcrafted tiles, period furniture and original artwork by renowned Mexican artists, this centrally located villa is located in the heart of town, on the north bank of the Rio Cuale. Spacious and well appointed, it consists of two buildings with two bedrooms each, separated by a large courtyard and swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical plants. Resting in the shade of a 200-year-old salate tree, the central patio is ideal for candlelit dinners and cocktail parties enhanced by the sound of the river rushing by. A private sundeck and roof terrace provide views of the river, the red-tile roofs of downtown Vallarta and the shimmering ocean. One of the most historic homes in Puerto Vallarta, this magical villa was a gathering place for artists and celebrities in the ™60s. Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rock Hudson and Burt Lancaster were friends and regular guests of the original owner; John Huston spent many an afternoon playing poker on the terrace with friends. Time has gone by but the magic of the place still exerts its power, and today we welcome the traveler who wishes to experience the beauty of Puerto Vallarta surrounded by the fascination of these old walls and the warmth of the Mexican people. You are steps away from world class restaurants, art galleries, boutiques, famed Malecón boardwalk and seawall, and a ten-minute walk from Los Muertos Beach.  Maid service daily except Sundays and holidays.  Mail will shop for and prepare breakfast.  A lunch/dinner cook is available at an additional charge of $65/per service.
